Please consider helping us with the Book Fair! It is a very fun time for our students.
Any time you can spare is appreciated, even just 30 minutes will be helpful! We will
need help with set-up and clean-up; helping children choose books; running the
register; straightening books and inventory. Please know, we MUST have volunteers to
cover each class shift. If we do not have a volunteer for each class, that class will not
be able to shop the fair during school.
Those who have been trained as BCPS volunteers, we ask you to please join us!
Volunteer application and training is available online!
Students will NOT preview the book fair. Shopping schedules are the same as their
Library time. The schedule is on the back of this form.

Carney Families and Friends please help support the school by pledging money to your students class. Each class is competing against each other to earn awards and medals. Every Friday class winners will be announced. The classes that reach the set goals will receive fun prizes and awards.
In addition to our normal activities this year, the PTA wants to purchase an electronic sign which will help students and families stay informed with current and up to date information. Our fundraising goal this year is $15,000. Please help us reach our goal so we can make Carney a Gold Medal School!

A special assembly will take place and the Towson University Gymnastics Team will present the classrooms with their medals and awards! All students will enjoy a presentation from the Gymnastic Team!

Date: Friday, June 3rd
Times: 5-8 p.m.
Location: Carney upper fields
Come enjoy food, fun, and friends at the Carney PTA’s end of year picnic. This year’s picnic will be more of an old-fashioned picnic. BullsEyes Catering and KONA Ice will be on-site selling food and treats but otherwise we are leaving the “fun” up to you! Bring a blanket and chairs. Buy food at the picnic or bring your own picnic basket. Let the kids play in our upper fields, on the playground, or on the court. Plan to bring your own items to make it fun for your kids and their friends (for example: balls, bubbles, sidewalk chalk, etc.) We will not be hosting games, crafts, or additional food this year. The 5th Grade students all voted on their favorite T-shirt design, and the shirt below was the winning design!!! The PTA will be purchasing the shirts for the students, however, parents can opt to also purchase a shirt. The cost is $7.50 per adult (2XL and 3XL, additional $1).
Please indicate the size of shirt for your student, and the name that you would like on the shirt. It is First Name Last Initial (Johnny A.).
