From Councilman David Marks on August 21, 2013:
I am very happy to pass along the news that Parkville Middle School - which serves Parkville, Carney, and South Perry Hall - will receive air conditioning as a result of today's Board of Public Works decision. While we still have several elementary schools that need air conditioning, today's announcement is a step forward for the Parkville area. Councilwoman Cathy Bevins and I have pushed for a greater share of air conditioning in the northeast, and I look forward to more good news in the future. TURN UP THE HEAT to COOL OFF OUR SCHOOL! Carney Elementary School’s students, teachers and staff need a conducive learning environment during the hot school months. Most of the Baltimore County public schools without air conditioning are located in northeast Baltimore County. Currently our school is at the bottom of the list for installing air conditioning throughout the entire school. Be sure to "like" us on Facebook at Carney Elementary School Cool Off Our School. |
